His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Luxembourg’s First visit at the 65th Anniversary of Hwa Rang Do® Grand Championships 2025 at the National Martial Arts Hall in Strassen.

Strassen – His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Luxembourg will attend to commemorate the 65th Anniversary of Hwa Rang Do® at the Grand Championships this month, on June 30th.

THE NATIONAL TEAM LUXEMBOURG – DEFENDING WORLD CHAMPIONS

Luxembourg, the defending champions, will welcome Masters, Instructors and students from EU Nations and the United States of America to take part in a Two-day (June 29 & 30) Decathlon of individual and team competitions for all ages, both male and female in the categories of Forms, Weapon Forms, Yongtoogi (Stand-up Striking Quick Submit Fighting), Gotoogi (Submission Grappling), and Mugi Daeryun (Weapon Fighting with Sticks and Swords).

Luxembourg defends its title as reigning GRAND CHAMPION, and you are all invited to witness the spectacle! This epic martial arts showdown features competitors from across the globe on Monday, June 30th at 17:00 at the National Martial Arts Hall (297, rue de Reckenthal L-2410 Strassen).

Entrance is FREE.

We are honored that His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Luxembourg, Patron of the Martial Arts Federation will attend the 65th World Hwa Rang Do Grand Championships along with the President of the Luxembourg Martial Arts Federation Mr Christmann Nicolas and the Consul of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea Mr Hong Sung-Won.

Come support the Luxembourg Team, the defending champions for the fourth time with the best Hwa Rang Do Warriors from all over the world battling it out in an exciting competition in a format of five against five; followed by the final of the black sash individual championships.

The Luxembourg National Team has obtained the title of Overall Team Grand Champion in 2019 that it has since defended ferociously at the world events of 2023 and 2024 which they intend on upholding this year.

Supreme Grandmaster Dr. Joo Bang Lee, the founder of Hwa Rang Do® and the first family of Hwa Rang Do will be present throughout the event, flying in all the way from Los Angeles, USA.

We will have the honor and privilege to benefit from the presence and teachings from the source of Hwa Rang Do, Supreme Grandmaster Dr. Joo Bang Lee and his son Grandmaster Taejoon Lee, both of whom will be leading the seminars throughout the week.

We are delighted to be able to open the seminars to the general public for participation and the championships on June 29th and 30th for free viewing.

65TH WORLD HWA RANG DO® ANNUAL EVENT

The Hwa Rang Do® Club Luxembourg is proud to announce that the World Hwa Rang Do® World Championships, Open Seminars, and Black Sash Conference will be held for the third time in the stunning Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg from June 28th through July 5th, 2025. A full week-long event; two-days of World Championships and five-days of Open Public Seminars culminating in an Awards Banquet at a venue in the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg.
The Hwa Rang Do® Club Luxembourg, which is an active member of FLAM (Luxembourg martial arts Federation), is led by Hwa Rang Do® Grandmaster Taejoon Lee, who resides in Luxembourg and who is the eldest son of Hwa Rang Do® Founder, Supreme Grandmaster Dr. Joo Bang Lee. Grandmaster Taejoon Lee is also the President of the World Hwa Rang Do® Association, 8th Dan Black Sash, and the apparent Heir to Hwa Rang Do®.
The Annual Hwa Rang Do® Summer Gathering – a week-long celebration of tradition, unity, and martial excellence. This year’s event is extra special, as we commemorate the 65th Anniversary of Hwa Rang Do®, a milestone in our legendary martial art’s history!

WHAT IS HWA RANG DO®?

Hwa Rang Do® means “The Way of Flowering Knights”. The rise goes back to the time of the Three Kingdoms in Korean history 1600 years ago, when the ancient Hwarang Warriors of the Silla kingdom unified their Korean peninsula for the first time in history. Hwa Rang Do® is a multi-faceted, integral discipline with a holistic approach to help its participants develop and cultivate their inner balance, giving the opportunity to fully maximize their own human mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual potential.
